We use computers in our classroom to create a newspaper. The software we use
to produce the newspaper is Microsoft Word, Kid Pix, Time Liner and more. Third graders get the opportunity to learn more about computers with Chris Peyser, the technology teacher at PS 261. Our classroom has a digital camera and print dock so that the students can instantly document classwork and exciting events. We use BrainPop on the internet along with other educational websites that enrich our third grade curriculum. Educational computer games such as Gizmos and Gadgets, Amelia's Notebook, and Time Liner are available to the students as one of the activity centers.
